The Atelier
We believe in objects that outlast the technology they hold. Every MacLeather piece is made by hand — not for scarcity, but for permanence.

Chapter I
We work exclusively with full-grain vegetable-tanned leather from a single Tuscan tannery that has practiced its craft since 1898. Each hide is selected by hand for character, weight, and grain — never uniformity.
Chapter II
A pattern is drawn once, then cut once — one hide, one piece. The leather is skived thin at the seams, edged, and bevelled before a single stitch is set. Slow work, done once, done right.
Chapter III
Every seam is set by hand with two needles and a single length of waxed thread — the saddle-stitch. It cannot unravel. If a single stitch fails, the ones beside it hold. It is the strongest hand-stitch known to leatherwork, and the reason our pieces are guaranteed for life.
Chapter IV
MacLeather is not sealed with plastic finishes. Over years of use it darkens, softens, and takes the shape of the hand that carries it. This is not wear — it is the piece coming into its own.
